Egypt striker Salah has been ruled out of Saturday's World Cup qualifier with a hamstring injury.

Egypt beat Swaziland 4-1 at home in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with Salah scoring the fourth goal in the 45th minute with a left-footed shot from a left-footed shot.

It was Salah's 38th goal in 61 appearances for the national team, but he was substituted after suffering a left leg injury in stoppage time.

"The initial examination by the team doctor showed a muscle soreness. I do not think it was severe," he said.
