Mona officially appointed Henry as new coach
French Ligue 1 club Monaco have officially announced the appointment of former player Henry as their new manager.
Monaco sacked coach Yardin last Thursday and have now replaced Henry.
Henry, who is currently assistant coach at the Belgian club, will sign a contract with Monaco until June 2021.
The 41-year-old began his professional career with Monaco, helping the club to a league title in 1997.
"I am just happy to be back in Monaco. We are completely determined to face the challenges ahead. "I can't wait to start working for the team and meet the players."
Henry passed away in 2014. After retiring in December, he worked as a television commentator and in 2016 joined Martတီnez as a member of the Belgian coaching staff.
Monaco have struggled this season and are 18th in the table, having won just one of their last nine league games this season.
